Royal Mail have confirmed changes to the way they define an International Letter. There is now a simpler structure where an International Letter is defined by weight and dimensions – that mirrors the domestic letter.

To meet the requirements for International Letter price, your letters must be:

  • No larger than 240mm x 165mm
  • No thicker than 5mm
  • Weigh no more than 100g

If your international post is larger or heavier than this, then it is classed as an International Parcel, and therefore should be weighed and paid for as an International Parcel.
